Job Title: Assistant Manager – Accounts and Taxation
Reporting To: Manager – Finance & Accounts
Role Overview
The Assistant Manager – Accounts and Taxation is responsible for supporting accurate financial accounting, statutory tax compliance, and ERP-based reporting within the real estate industry. The role includes assisting with GST, TDS, income tax compliance, project accounting, MIS preparation, and audit documentation. The ideal candidate should possess strong accounting fundamentals, ERP exposure, and the ability to work cross-functionally in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities
1. Accounting & General Ledger Management
- Record day-to-day accounting entries including project-related transactions.
- Assist in month-end and year-end financial closing activities.
- Ensure proper documentation and accounting for revenue, expenses, and provisions.
2. Taxation (GST, TDS, Income Tax)
- Support timely and accurate GST, TDS, and other statutory filings.
- Reconcile tax liabilities and input credits in ERP systems.
- Handle preparation of challans, returns, and documentation for audits.
3. ERP & Financial Systems
- Work extensively on ERP platforms for recording and extracting accounting data.
- Participate in ERP implementation improvements and support user training.
4. MIS & Financial Reporting
- Assist in preparing project-wise cost reports, collection trackers, and cash flows.
- Generate standard and ad-hoc financial reports from ERP and accounting software.
5. Audit & Compliance Support
- Prepare audit schedules and assist in statutory/internal audits.
- Ensure compliance with real estate financial regulations, including RERA Form 3,Form 5.
- Maintain organized documentation and audit trails.
6. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Coordinate with other departments like Projects, Legal, Procurement, and HR for invoice validation, contract payments, and cost allocation.
- Liaise with consultants for tax, audit, and ERP matters.
Technical Skills Required
- Practical working knowledge of GST, TDS, and real estate-related tax provisions.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems (minimum 2 years), preferably in real estate ERP (e.g., ERP-Hi rise ,FAR Vision, Tally Prime ERP).
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and financial reporting tools.

Qualifications & Experience
- Education: MBA (Finance) / B.com, M.Com
- Experience: Minimum 8 years of experience in accounts and taxation, with at least 3 years in ERP-based accounting in the real estate industry.
